Dosage : 1 gm once daily via deep IM injection or slow IV injection over at least 2-4 min, intermittent IV infusion over at least 30 min Children (<12 yr) - 20 to 50 mg /kg once daily, can be increase to 80 mg / kg in severe infection or as directed by physician

Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.
