    It is used to treat angina (heart-related chest pain), high blood pressure, and some types of irregular heartbeats (arrhythmia). It is known as a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels to lower blood pressure. This helps to reduce the workload of the heart.

    Working Mechanism :

    Belongs to the group of medicines called Calcium Channel Blockers. It is used to treat angina and hypertension. It also prevents you from getting chest pain in future. Hypertension (also known as high blood pressure) is a medical condition in which the force of the blood exerted against the walls of the artery remains very high and as a result it may lead to severe damage to the blood vessels supplying vital organs, such as heart, kidney or brain. If left untreated, it may cause serious complications such as heart attack, heart failure, stroke or even blindness.
