It is an antipsychotic medicine. It is used in the treatment of schizophrenia (a mental disorder that can result in hallucinations or delusions and also adversely affects a person’s ability to think and behave) and mania. It can also be used to treat depression and bipolar disorders. It is used to treat schizophrenia, especially in the adolescent patients (aged between 13-17 years). Schizophrenia is a mental disorder which affects a person’s ability to think, feel and behave correctly. It is characterized by seeing or hearing things which are not present and abnormal thoughts or behavior.
