Allylestrenol is present only in people who have used this drug or have taken it. It’s a progestational activity synthetic steroid.  Llylestrenol is similar to progesterone in structure and function. Women with sufficient endogenous estrogen turn progesterone into a secretory endometrium. Progesterone is important for the growth of decidual tissue and is required for the implantation of an embryo to increase the endometrial receptivity. Progesterone serves to sustain the pregnancy once an embryo is inserted. Progesterone also promotes mammalian alveolar tissue growth and relaxes the smooth muscle of the uterine.

Allylestrenol is used in the treatment of threatened abortion, repeated loss of pregnancy, threatened miscarriage, premature labour, benign prostatic hyperplasia and other conditions.
