Mechanism of Action :
Gliclazide belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiabetic agents. Effectively controls blood sugar levels, where gliclazide makes the pancreas secrete more insulin to digest the circulating sugars (glucose) in the blood. It also makes the body more sensitive to insulin which helps in utilizing the circulating blood glucose (sugars) leading to decrease in blood glucose levels.
